Another year of local history talks will begin on Thursday 14 September at 8pm. As usual, there will be eight talks throughout the year. Meetings will take place in the North Down Museum on the second Thursday of each month at 8pm.

• September 14: Peter Stark, Children of Empire - the Later Blackwoods of Clandeboye
• October 12: Roger Dixon, The Big Houses of Ulster
• November 9: Ronnie Hanna, The Ulster-Scots Presidents of the USA
• December 14: John Grace, The Architecture of Mount Stewart
